You don’t want to be competing with other people all of the time. It’s often good to compare yourself with others, if you’re able to keep it at a reasonable level, in order to elevate your own game and perhaps see that there are levels you haven’t reached yet. But in the perfect world, in the most ideal scenario, you are going to have to be competing with yourself.  You want to set a standard and then spend your time trying to rise above your own standard. You want to become a standard resetter. You want to be the type of person who is consistently elevating, who is constantly evolving.  The scariest place you can be next year is exactly where you are right now. THAT is the main fear you need to have.
